An ancient Roman colony, “Villa Vittoria”, which was dominated for over two centuries by the Malatesta family and the Papal States up to the unification of Italy, turned into “Misano Adriatico” in 1938. Today it is a renowned seaside resort of the Riviera and videos depicting hotels in Misano Adriatico display its remarkably wide array of accommodation facilities. Most hotels are provided with swimming pool and surrounded by sweet hills and are situated in front of renowned bathing establishments or few metres far from the tourist harbour. The area surrounding the harbour of Misano Adriatico is famous for its lush vegetation and the naturalistic oasis of the river Conca.
